Açık: 'Basın, toplumsal bilincin gelişmesinde önemli katkılar sağlamaktadır'

Elazığ İş Kadınları Derneği Başkanı Prof. Dr. Yasemin Açık, 10 Ocak Çalışan Gazeteciler Günü dolayısıyla bir mesaj yayımlayarak, basının toplumun doğru bilgiye ulaşması yönündeki özverili ve ilkeli yayıncılık çabalarının pandemi sürecinde toplumsal bilinç düzeyinin gelişmesine çok önemli katkılarının olduğunu söyledi.
Prof. Dr. Yasemin Açık mesajında, basının kamuoyunun doğru bilgilendirilmesi, tarafsız habere ulaşması gibi görevlerinin yanında toplumun bilinçlendirilmesi gibi bir işleve de sahip olduğunu belirterek; “Gazetecilik mesleği, özveri ve fedakârlık mesleğidir. Gazeteciler, toplumun doğru bilgilendirilmesi için zaman ve mekân mefhumu gözetmeden emeklerini, sorumluluk duygusu ile ortaya koymaktadırlar. Basının ilkeli, tarafsız ve sorumlu yayıncılık anlayışı ile gerçekleştirdiği yayınlar birçok konuda toplumsal bilincin oluşmasına çok önemli katkılar sağlamaktadır. İçinde bulunduğumuz pandemi sürecinde basının toplumsal bilinç düzeyinin artmasında çok önemli bir görev üstlendiği bir kez daha görülmüştür. Gazeteciler, kendi sağlıklarını tehlikeye atma pahasına görevlerini hassasiyetle yerine getirerek sürecin doğru bir şekilde yönetilmesinde, toplumsal farkındalığın oluşmasında ve kamuoyunun sağlıklı bilgiye ulaşmasında önemli bir rol üstlenmiştir. Bu nedenle toplum olarak özverili bir şekilde görevlerini yerine getiren gazetecilere çok şey borçlu olduğumuzu ifade etmek isterim.” değerlendirmesini yaptı.
Elazığ basının her zaman sorumlu ve ilkeli yayıncılık yaptığını vurgulayan Prof. Dr. Yasemin Açık, “Elazığ yerel basını bir yıl önce yaşanan deprem ve sonrasında gelişen pandemi süreciyle birlikte sorumluluğu çok fazla artmış olmasına rağmen bugüne kadar bu süreci başarıyla yürütmüştür. Bir yandan deprem yaralarının sarılması yönündeki yayınlar diğer yandan insanlarımızın pandemi sürecine ilişkin bilgilendirici yayınları şehrimizin yeniden ayağa kalkması ve toplum sağlığının korunması yönünde ciddi katkılar sağlamıştır. Bu süreçte yerel medyamızın ortaya koyduğu sorumlu ve ilkeli yayıncılık anlayışı takdire şayandır. Bu düşünceler ile içinde bulunduğumuz zor koşullara rağmen kamuoyunun doğru bilgilendirilmesi için özveriyle görevlerini yerine getiren tüm gazetecilerin 10 Ocak Çalışan Gazeteciler Günü’nü kutluyor, çalışmalarında başarılar diliyorum.” dedi.

Journalists have played an important role in the correct management of the process, in creating social awareness and in reaching healthy information by the public, by performing their duties with precision at the expense of their own health. Emphasizing that Elazig press has always been responsible and principled publishing, Prof. Dr. Yasemin Açık said, “Although the responsibility of the Elazig local press has increased significantly with the earthquake that occurred a year ago and the pandemic process that developed after it, it has successfully carried out this process so far. On the one hand, publications on the healing of earthquake wounds, on the other hand, informative publications about the pandemic process of our people have made serious contributions to the recovery of our city and the protection of public health.
