Olay, merkeze bağlı Cumhuriyet Mahallesi'ndeki adliye binası önünde meydana geldi. Edinilen bilgiye göre, polis şüpheli bir aracı durdurdu. Bu sırada araçtan inen 2 şahıs kaçmaya başladı. Biri kısa sürede yakalanırken, diğeri ise adliyenin arkasından İl Sağlık Müdürlüğü önüne doğru kaçtı. Yaşanan kovalamacada polis, kaçan şüpheliye dur ikazında bulundu. Şüphelinin ikazları dinlemeyerek kaçmaya devam etmesi üzerine polis, havaya bir el ateş etti. Açılan ilk ateşe rağmen kaçmaya çalışan şüpheli, polis ekiplerinin açtığı ikinci ateşin ardından durdurularak yakalandı. Şüpheliler kelepçelenerek polis aracına alındı. Polis ekipleri, şüphelilerin kaçtığı bölgede suça konu bir şey atma ihtimaline karşı da arama yaptı.

Stopping a suspicious vehicle in front of the courthouse in Elazig, the police caught one of the two people trying to escape on foot by opening fire into the air after the chase. The incident took place in front of the courthouse in the Cumhuriyet District of the center. According to the information obtained, the police stopped a suspected vehicle. Meanwhile, 2 persons who got out of the vehicle started to run away. While one of them was caught in a short time, the other fled behind the courthouse towards the Provincial Health Directorate. In the chase, the police warned the fleeing suspect to stop. As the suspect continued to flee by not listening to the warnings, the police fired a shot into the air. The suspect, who tried to escape despite the first fire opened, was stopped and caught after the second fire opened by the police teams. The suspects were handcuffed and taken to the police vehicle.
