Vurulan kulaklı orman baykuşu bulundu, tedavi altına alındı

Elazığ'da ateşli silahla kanadı ve gözünden vurulduğu için uçamayan kulaklı orman baykuşu, vatandaşlar tarafından bulunarak tedavi altına alındı.

Karakoçan ilçesine bağlı Kırkpınar Mahallesi'nde vatandaşlar, bahçede uçamayan büyük bir baykuş gördü. Haber verilmesi üzerine olay yerine gelen ilçe belediyesine bağlı ekipler, yaralı baykuşu Doğa Koruma ve Milli Parklar (DKMP) Elazığ Şubesi ekiplerine teslim etti. Ekipler tarafından alınan Kulaklı Orman Baykuşu Fırat Üniversitesi (FÜ) Veteriner Fakültesi Hayvan Hastanesi'ne getirildi. Hayvan hastanesinde tedavi altına alınan baykuşun, ateşli silahla kanadı ve gözünden saçma ile vurulduğu belirlendi. Hastanenin Başhekimi Prof. Dr. Mehmet Cengiz Han ise baykuşu bir süre müşahede altında tutup ameliyat ettikten sonra yapılan tedavinin ardından tekrar doğaya salınacağını kaydetti.

Baykuşta ciddi yaralanmaların mevcut olduğunu belirten Başhekim Prof. Dr. Mehmet Cengiz Han, “Hastanemiz Elazığ ili ve dışına hizmet etmekle birlikte Doğa Koruma ve Milli Parklar Müdürlüğü'yle yapmış olduğumuz protokol doğrultusunda yaban hayvanlarına da hizmet ediyor. DKMP ekipleri tarafından doğada bulunan yaralanmış hayvanları hastanemize getiriyorlar. Burada tedavileri görüldükten sonra hayvanları doğaya bırakmaktayız. Kulaklı orman baykuş, DKMP ekipleri ve vatandaşlar aracılığıyla Karakoçan ilçesinden hastanemize getirildi. Röntgen alındı. Ateşli silah yaralanmasıyla sağ kanadında homerus kırığı mevcut. Aynı zamanda gözüne saçma tanesi girdiği için hipopiyon şekillenmiş bir durumda. Birkaç gün müşahede altına aldıktan sonra hayvanın yapacağımız ameliyatla kanadı onarılmaya çalışılacak. Tedavisi tamamlandıktan sonra da ekiplere teslim edilip yine doğasına bırakılacaktır” dedi.

In Elazig, the forest owl, which could not fly due to its wing and eye shot with a firearm, was found and treated by the citizens. Citizens in Kırkpınar Neighborhood of Karakoçan district saw a big owl that could not fly in the garden. Upon the notification, teams affiliated with the district municipality came to the scene and delivered the injured owl to the Elazig Branch teams of Nature Conservation and National Parks (DKMP). Eared Forest Owl, which was taken by the teams, was brought to Fırat University (FÜ) Veterinary Faculty Animal Hospital.
